Hampta Pass trek
Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most scenic crossover treks in the Indian Himalayas. Situated in Himachal Pradesh, this trek connects the lush green Kullu Valley with the cold desert of Lahaul. The highlight of this trek is crossing Hampta Pass (14,100 ft), where landscapes change dramatically within a few hours.
Walking through dense pine forests, open grasslands, glacial valleys, snow slopes, and finally stepping into a barren high-altitude desert makes this trek a complete Himalayan experience. The trek is ideal for beginners as well as first-time high-pass trekkers, offering adventure without extreme technical difficulty.
The reflection of Mt. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti in Bedni Kund and the open ridgeline views make this trek a true Himalayan classic.
