About Valley fo flower

The Valley Of Flowers is God Own Garden, this park spread over an area of 87.5 km has the largest collection of wild flower species which enchanting you. The beauty of the park is enhanced by the Pushpawati river flowing in the vicinity overlooked by the towering Rataban peak in the background. More than 300 species of wild flowers like Saxifrags, Sediams, Lilies, Blue Poppy, Calendular, Daisies, Denthus, Turmopsis, Primula, Dadiculatar, Pontitala, Geranium, Cipro Nepolysis, Holly, Pansy, Zinnia, Petunia, Fox, Caropsis Dynthus and many more. These flowers full of bloom and swing with life during the monsoons.

In 1931 Frank visited here the sublime beauty and a myriad collection of wild flowers and eventually inspired to write a book ‘Smyth a mountaineer, botanist and a great nature enthusiast, who accidently fumbled down into this wonder land while coming from his successful Kamet expedition. He found dumb himself by the sheer beauty of it’. Before the exploration and popularization of it the local people were frequently visiting the valley for their daily need of precious medicinal herbs and other life supporting elements.
In September 1982 the govt of India declared it as national park to preserve its precious flora and fauna because some of the species were found endangered. In July 2005 was figured in the list of World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. •

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Joshimath

Altitude: ~6,680 ft

Day Theme: A gentle beginning in the Himalayas.

We pick you up early morning from Dehradun / Rishikesh (with extra charges) and drive towards Joshimath via Devprayag and Karnaprayag.

  • Stop at Devprayag, the sacred confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers (birthplace of the Ganga)
  • Continue scenic mountain drive to Joshimath
  • Team assistance with hotel/lodge check-in
  • Rest, dinner & overnight stay at Joshimath

Joshimath to Pulna then Ghangaria

Trek: 20 Km Drive then 10 km Trek | 6 hr
Altitude: ~9,600 ft

Day Theme: Slow steps, strong foundations.
Value: Gradual ascent builds confidence and breathing rhythm.

After breakfast we drive to Pulna, the trek starts from Pulna Village, a 10 km trek to Ghanghria, takes 5 hrs, a crossing Pulna and Bhyundar villages. There are a good number of eating outs on the way. Overnight Stay in Ghanghria

Ghangaria to Valley of flower

Trek: 5 km | 4–5 hrs
Altitude: ~11,200 ft

Day Theme: The mountains start revealing themselves.

Today’s trek is slightly longer, but highly rewarding.

  • Today we trek Valley of flower after taking permission from Forest Dept. 
  • After trek 1.5 km we see huge Pushpavati river cross by over bridge.
  • Then steep climb 2 km then we see first glimb of Valley of flower our dream destination
  • Reach Valley of flower explore , a huge beautiful valley full of variety of flowers

Evening tea with views, followed by dinner & overnight stay in Ghangaria

Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib

Trek: 8 km | ~5 hrs
Altitude: ~15,200 ft

Day Theme: Holy place visit Hemkund Sahib & Lokpal Laxman Temple
Value: We pace the day based on weather and group energy—not pressure.

We start early because after 2 PM Hemkund sahib entry not allowed

  • Start trek slowly and steedly
  • Every 500 mtr. you get Dhaba where you get recharge:
  • We aware of Arakhoti section sometime we get snow patch here 
  • Last section of Hemkund sahib just before 2.5 km you can spotted Brahmkamal flowers

Once we reached Hemkund sahib we take hot Bhandra and hot tea offer by Hemkund Sahib after that we go for Darshan Granth Sahib and Lokpal Laxman temple if you are adventures you take holy deep in lake which is very cold.

Ghagaria to Joshimath

Trek: 12 km, Drive 15 Km
Altitude: ~6,500 ft

Day Theme: Ending strong, not rushed.

After a breakfast descending trek till pulna 10 km then drive to joshimath. In evening you can excursion yourself this beautiful area. 

Dinner & overnight stay at Joshimath.

Laxman Ji, Tapasavi isthal
Successfully complete trek

Day Theme: A beginner’s confidence unlocked.

After breakfast, depart for your onward journey with:

Exclusion

  • Cost of extension of the validity or deviation from the route of the tour in case of natural or manmade hazards.
  • Food during the transportation.
  • Laundry, wines & alcoholic beverages, mineral water (unless specified), telephone charges, shopping, all items of personal nature and also food and drinks not forming the part of the group menus.
  • Offloading charges Rs. 600per/day/per/bag.
  • 100 per/bucket of Hot water in Ghangaria
  • Room are allotted on sharing bases in case double sharing required then Rs. 2000 extra for couple.
  • Cost of Insurance / medication.
  • Extra stay pre/post tour.
  • Any extra expenses incurred for changing the route due to any unforeseen circumstances, forced major instances, natural calamities, political disturbances, strikes etc.
